With the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s blessings, 50 Cent is a licensed promoter

The Nevada State Athletic Commission unanimously approved a promotional license for 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III in South Jamaica, Queens, under the banner of SMS Promotions at its monthly meeting on Thursday. Rather than launching TMT (“The Money Team”) Promotions with obnoxious blowhard, and backstabbing friend, Floyd Mayweather (43-0, 26 KOs), 50 Cent personally applied for a matchmaking license with the commission last month. “It was heartening to read all the letters of recommendation in support of your application,” commissioner Pat Lundvall told Jackson, who said he was prepared to invest an additional $2 million into the company. … Continue reading

Rather than wasting time with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, the New York Jets should start former Alabama standout Greg McElroy at quarterback

After yet another putrid performance in Sunday’s 28-7 loss to the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, it is more evident than ever that Mark Sanchez is a quarterback incapable of making the New York Jets a winning organization. The 26-year-old Sanchez, who the Jets (3-6) drafted with the fifth overall selection out of the University of Southern California (USC) in the 2009 NFL Draft, has tossed 65 scores, in contrast to 60 picks, for 11,069 yards in 56 career starts.
