A ‘100 percent healthy’ Anthony Davis could somehow make the Pelicans seem badass

No longer a skinny Hornet, a bulkier Anthony Davis could dominate as a Pelican.

“Now 100 percent healthy” after suffering an MCL sprain and bruise to his left knee, New Orleans Hornets power forward Anthony Davis is expected to participate in Team USA’s mini-camp come July.

Taken first overall out of Kentucky in 2012, the 20-year-old Davis averaged 13.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over 64 games as a Hornet (27-55).

However, hindered by various injuries the entire season, the 6-foot-10, 220 pound Davis needs to add muscle and become more powerful.

Routinely approaching double-doubles as an All-Rookie First Team selection, a bulkier “unibrow” will utterly dominate the paint in “The Big Easy” as a Pelican this autumn.

Fortunately for Pelicans fans, Davis and the team should get a boost with the sixth pick in this month’s draft.

In need of a playmaker, New Orleans would be wise to nab Trey Burke out of Michigan if given the chance.

The combination of Burke and a “100 percent healthy” Anthony Davis would somehow manage to make the Pelicans a badass organization within two years.
