Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel is the ‘clear winner’ over Kevin Kolb

E.J. Manuel is the newest face of the Buffalo Bills.

After helping Buffalo batter the Colts 44-20 Sunday in Indianapolis, rookie E.J. Manuel is the “clear winner” to start at quarterback for the Bills over Kevin Kolb.

Taken out of Florida State with the 16th pick in April’s draft, the 23-year-old Manuel completed 16 of 21 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown versus Indianapolis.

Inking a five-year contract valued at roughly $9 million earlier this summer, the 6-foot-5, 240 pound Manuel also ran three times for 28 yards.

Meanwhile, Buffalo signed the 28-year-old Kolb to a two-year deal worth $13 million in March.

Unfortunately, Kolb is a human chandelier who will produce by holding a clipboard on the sideline.

Looking surprisingly polished operating Nathaniel Hackett’s “K-Gun” offense, head coach Doug Marrone will formally name Manuel as the team’s leader in a couple weeks.

Removed from a pathetic 6-10 campaign and having not qualified for the playoffs since 1999, Manuel is quickly flustered when pressured and the youngster will likely struggle performing in 2013.

Nevertheless, a standout athlete brimming with testicular fortitude, smarts and dedication, the former Seminole will eventually mature into a solid Bill.

As the most crucial Bill in “The City of No Illusions,” E.J. Manuel should prepare to be under center against the Patriots in New England on September 8.
