Former Hoosiers star Victor Oladipo is Magic versus the Nets in Orlando

Oladipo is too determined to fail.

Brilliant Magic guard Victor Oladipo sparkled in Sunday’s 107-86 triumph over the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando.

Including a spectacular 360 dunk, the 21-year-old Oladipo finished with 19 points, six boards, four assists and two steals on 8-of-13 shooting.

Taken second overall out of Indiana by Orlando in June, the 6-foot-5, 215 pound Oladipo continues to aggressively and fearlessly drive to the basket.

Despite lacking a consistent jumper, the former Hoosier is already a reliable scorer for the Magic (2-2) off the bench.

There’s no question that Oladipo remains an extremely raw talent.

Regardless, the Maryland native is a defensive virtuoso who creates turnovers and flourishes in transition.

Hence, Oladipo will always find ways to contribute and produce on the hardwood.

A first-team AP All-American, Oladipo’s an aerial artist famed for diligence and preparation.

Removed from a 20-62 season in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division, Orlando is a primarily hideous squad.

However, Oladipo’s lockdown skills, energy, and passion for the sport will eventually allow the Magic to spellbind onlookers.

Already mature enough to dazzle with the Magic in “The City Beautiful,” expect Victor Oladipo to capture the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.
