In an absolute stunner, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will start against the Eagles

Will Robert Griffin III still be able to dust the competition?

In shocking news akin to learning Pam Anderson sports silicones, the Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that Robert Griffin III will start Week 1.

Named the Associated Press’ Offensive Rookie of the Year, the 23-year-old Griffin has healed from January’s reconstructive surgery to repair the ACL and LCL ligaments in his right knee.

A 6-foot-2, 217 pound athletic phenomenon, Griffin suffered the same injury playing as a Baylor University Bear four years ago.

Despite the severity of the wound, Dr. James Andrews and Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan correctly predicted that RG3 would mend in record fashion.

Griffin completed an impressive 65.6 percent of his throws for 20 touchdowns, against five interceptions, and 3,200 yards over 15 games last autumn.

Reportedly again able to run the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds , Griffin also rushed for 815 yards and seven scores.

Fortunately, although a tremendous scrambler, Kim Kardashian’s wet dream proved capable of flourishing strictly as a pocket passer by posting a 102.4 quarterback rating.

Anything but a “cornball brother,” Griffin is destined to eventually guide the Redskins to their first championship since the 1991 campaign.

In the interim, with Dr. Andrews’ medical clearance coming shortly, Robert Griffin III will dominate the Philadelphia Eagles on September 9 at FedExField in Landover.
