It is all ‘The Big Easy’ for Pelicans star Anthony Davis

Despite being homely in the streets, Anthony Davis is a glowing figure on the hardwood.

New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis dominated in Wednesday night’s 99-95 victory over the Orlando Magic in Jacksonville, Florida.

The 20-year-old Davis finished with 29 points, nine rebounds, one assist, two steals and four blocks in 31 minutes of action.

Taken first overall out of Kentucky in 2012, the 6-foot-10, 220 pound Davis averaged 13.5 points, 8.2 boards and 1.8 rejections over 64 games as a rookie.

Clearly recovered from suffering an MCL sprain and bruise to his left knee in April, Davis is destined to overwhelm defenders this season.

Davis has appeared a bit stronger and more powerful since being hindered by various injuries throughout the 2012-2013 campaign.

“Unibrow” routinely approached double-doubles as an All-Rookie First Team selection and the former Wildcat now looks unstoppable in the paint.

Ready to somehow become an intimidating Pelican, Anthony Davis will mature into one of the 15 preeminent ballplayers in the association this winter.
