New Orleans Hornets head coach Monty Williams wants Anthony Davis ‘to live in the weight room’ this summer

Despite looking like a jackass, Anthony Davis is more than producing as a Hornet.

Insinuating the precocious power forward has disappointed as a rookie, New Orleans Hornets head coach Monty Williams said Anthony Davis needs “to live in the weight room” this summer.

The 6-foot-10, 220 pound Davis, who New Orleans (24-46) took first overall out of the University of Kentucky in the 2012 NBA Draft, has averaged 13.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks over 55 games.

However, Davis, who unanimously swept the bulk of personal awards as a Wildcat and led the university to their eighth NCAA crown last spring, has missed 15 contests due to various injuries this season.

Hence, some added muscle would benefit the preseason choice for Rookie of the Year.

Nevertheless, as a 20-year-old routinely approaching double-doubles, it’s ridiculous to even hint that Anthony Davis has underachieved this winter.

Within three years, the unibrow will be utterly dominating the paint in The Big Easy.
