Pelicans star Anthony Davis will make life impossible for visitors to ‘The Big Easy’

Davis is already one of the premier players in the NBA.

Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis was utterly brilliant in Friday’s 96-85 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in New Orleans.

The 20-year-old Davis finished with a career-high 32 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, six blocks and one steal.

Clearly recovered from suffering an MCL sprain and bruise to his left knee in April, Davis is averaging 23.0 points, 11.5 boards, 4.3 rejections and 1.7 dishes over six games.

Regardless of how coach Monty Williams substitutes his players, the 6-foot-10, 220 pound Davis will overwhelm defenders and amass glaring statistics this season.

Taken first overall out of Kentucky in 2012, “Unibrow” has appeared a bit stronger and more powerful since being hindered by various injuries throughout the 2012-2013 campaign.

Davis routinely approached double-doubles as an All-Rookie First Team selection and now looks unstoppable in the paint.

Although a bit raw, the former Wildcat is quick, explosive and able to expertly run the court.

Most importantly, Davis’ intensity and determination ensures that he will become a dominant force in the association.

Already an intimidating Pelican, Anthony Davis is going to make life impossible for visitors to “The Big Easy” this winter.
