Surefire Hall of Famer Jason Kidd retires from the NBA

A surefire first-ballot Hall of Famer, legendary point guard Jason Kidd retired from the NBA on Monday.

Taken second overall out of California by the Dallas Mavericks in 1994, the 40-year-old Kidd averaged 12.6 points, 8.7 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals over 1,391 games with four organizations.

As a 10-time All-Star who led the association in dishes on five occasions, the 6-foot-4, 210 pound Kidd is one of the greatest playmakers ever.

Although an extraordinarily versatile force on the hardwood, the former Golden Bear had issues off the court and was pinched driving shitfaced last July and found guilty of domestic abuse in January 2001.

Now married to sex kitten Porschla Coleman, Kidd’s famed athleticism vanished with age and it was obviously time to relocate to Del Boca Vista.

Leaving the sport as a NBA champion and five-time All-NBA First Team selection, Jason Kidd can make plans to visit Springfield in 2018.
