Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik is ‘one hundred percent’ certain Darrelle Revis will immediately thrive as a Buccaneer

Darrelle Revis should be laughing after fleeing the swamps of Jersey for “The Sunshine State.”

Recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last September against the Dolphins in Miami, Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik is “one hundred percent” certain Darrelle Revis will be ready for the Jets in the swamps of Jersey during Week 1.

Fleecing jackass Jets general manager John Idzik, Gang Green traded the 27-year-old Revis to the Bucs on Sunday for the 13th overall pick in Thursday’s draft.

“I’m confident he will walk out the first day of training camp with pads on and go do work, so we’ll be smart with him,” said Dominik.

Although there are zero guarantees a cornerback with a reconstructed knee can again thrive in a collision sport, Revis will likely mend and continue providing blanket coverage in the secondary.

Coming off a 7-9 record in the NFC South, Revis is the type of superstar that could help propel the Bucs to the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

A three-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler, Darrelle Revis is a truly tremendous ballplayer whose incredible pass protection skills prevent offenses from functioning properly.

Inking a six-year contract worth $96 million, expect the 2009 AFC Defensive Player of the Year to flourish competing at Raymond James Stadium and ignite the “Cigar City” as a Buccaneer this autumn.
