‘Telling opposing teams not to bother pursuing him,’ Chris Paul will remain a Los Angeles Clipper

Chris Paul wants to keep flexing with the Clippers.

With representatives for the standout point guard “telling opposing teams not to bother pursuing him [when free agency begins] on July 1,” Chris Paul will soon ink a maximum five-year deal to remain a Los Angeles Clipper.

Reportedly thrilled that Doc Rivers agreed to coach the Clippers, the 28-year-old Paul is destined to thrive next winter in “La-La Land.”

A talented squad that finished 56-26, Rivers will now have the opportunity to work with the 6-foot, 175 pound Paul and fellow superstar Blake Griffin.

Averaging 18.6 points, 9.8 assists and 4.4 rebounds since debuting with the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, the former Demon Deacon is arguably the preeminent floor general in the association.

With Rivers overseeing the unit, Paul and Griffin should mature into an even more formidable duo on the hardwood.

As the Lakers continue to gray and stagnate, the Clippers may no longer be Tinseltown’s version of red-headed stepchildren.
