Liz Carmouche plans to leave no doubt in Juliana Velasquez rematch at Bellator 289

Bellator ladies’ flyweight champion Liz Carmouche and previous champion Juliana Velasquez are set to rematch in the Bellator 289 co-headliner on Friday.

Carmouche (17-7) halted Velasquez (12-1) late in the fourth round of Bellator 278 in April to catch the title. It was Velasquez’ first profession misfortune and she didn’t take it well. She was well ahead on the scorecards and accepted it was an early stoppage.

Carmouche plans to leave no questions in the rematch.

“Obviously I’ve observed every one of the tapes, and what I can say is, better believe it, I’ve gained from that large number of slip-ups as I do each battle. No battle is ever something very similar, and obviously you will see an alternate rendition of me Friday night,” Carmouche said during the Bellator 289 Media Day.

In this battle, Carmouche hopes to complete Velasquez a subsequent time with the exception of leaving no questions in the personalities of anybody.

“I know in completing her there won’t be any questions. I won’t pass on it to any question, any uncertainty to anybody since it will be her unconscious, or her draining and broken with no questions in anybody’s brain,” she said.
